About Vadelo

Vadelo is a supplier of consumables for businesses in sectors including retail, hospitality, logistics, and healthcare. Founded in 2004, the company grew from selling cash register rolls into an organization with sixty employees and a specific product range.

Today, Vadelo strategically focuses on four product niches: cash register rolls, disposable gloves, stretch wrap, and trash bags. Multiple labels and webshops existed within the organization, including Office Palace, Focus Green, and Sign Display Store. To enable further growth and strengthen its brand positioning, Vadelo decided to consolidate all activities under a single brand: Vadelo. This also created the need to migrate the various e-commerce platforms to a single central platform.

The challenge: rebranding, consolidation and serving different customer groups

The transition to a single platform was much more than a technical migration for Vadelo. The project was part of a broader strategic shift: less fragmentation, more focus, and a stronger market position as a specialist in consumables.

Diverse customer needs:
• End users: Speed, simplicity, and direct online ordering.
• Large consumers: Customer-specific pricing, order history, and efficiency.
• Resellers: Stable ordering environment and custom agreements.

Vadelo was therefore looking for a solution where corporate identity, ease of use, and commercial power come together.

A single smart platform with minimal risk

Together with CloudSuite, a pragmatic approach was chosen. The existing Office Palace environment served as the technical foundation, allowing existing integrations to be preserved and risks to be minimized. As a result, integrations with systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and nShift could be efficiently reused.

On the front end, a completely renewed digital experience was developed, matching Vadelo's new brand identity. End users experience a modern webshop, while regular customers and high-volume buyers have direct access to an ordering portal with personalized terms and ease of ordering. Additionally, redirects were set up to ensure that old product links and bookmarks still automatically lead to the correct page within the new environment.

You usually expect a lot of hassle during a Go Live, but the transition to the new platform was faster than expected. We were offline for an hour at most, and there was not a single noteworthy disruption to our business. That was a fantastic result."

Smooth go-live without disruption

After a carefully prepared process, the go-live took place on December 16. The transition was fast and smooth: the new platform was live within about an hour. For Vadelo, this was an important result, as many internal changes were happening at the same time. In addition to the new website, the entire organization transitioned to the new brand name.

During the go-live, everything changed internally: the IT environment, the structure of the sales teams, and the email addresses of the sixty employees. Because the website was up and running flawlessly within an hour and the existing backend integrations continued to work immediately, there was no disruption to the business and customers could continue ordering right away.
