From a legacy platform to a modern B2B webshop with Click & Collect

INTR. is the leading wholesaler for professionals in flooring, window coverings, and flooring installation products. Its assortment includes everything interior retailers and self-employed professionals need, from flooring and installation products such as adhesives and levelling compounds to window coverings including pleated and honeycomb blinds. Customers can rely on INTR. as a one-stop shop, enabling them to get everything they need for the job in one place.

Digitalization and online ordering convenience are at the heart of INTR.'s strategy. The new e-commerce platform needed to be not only technically robust, but also flexible enough to support the company's future ambitions, including innovative features such as Click & Collect through the INTR. Points network.

The main challenges

INTR.'s previous platform was more than five years old and due for replacement. During the selection process for a new e-commerce platform, several key requirements emerged:

Always up to date

INTR. wanted to avoid the risk of running on an outdated platform. Automatic updates to the latest version were a key requirement, ensuring the platform would always benefit from the latest e-commerce innovations.

A local partner with a personal approach

Proximity and personal involvement played an important role in the platform selection. INTR. was looking for a partner who truly understands their business—not an anonymous ticketing system, but a dedicated contact person who thinks along with them.

Flexibility and self-management

The platform needed to give INTR. the freedom to manage and update much of the webshop themselves, without relying on external parties for every small change.

Click & Collect through INTR. Points

Interior retailers and self-employed professionals work on-site. If they discover they are missing a product during a job, they need to quickly find the nearest INTR. Point, check local stock availability, and place an order so it is ready for pickup when they arrive.

A platform that truly understands INTR.

After discussions with multiple providers, INTR. chose CloudSuite because of its SaaS approach, continuous product development, and personal way of working. The latter proved to be the key differentiator in practice: throughout the entire project, INTR. had a dedicated contact person who got to know the company better and better—from specific challenges to what makes INTR. stand out from other wholesalers.

Together with CloudSuite, the Click & Collect functionality was developed around the INTR. Points network. Customers can see in real time where the nearest pickup location is, which products are available in stock, and place an order immediately. The product is ready for collection, allowing customers to continue their job without delay.

Internally, the INTR. team works with the CloudSuite CMS (the CloudSuite App) every day to publish blogs, news updates, and optimize pages using the available widgets. The next step is setting up dynamic SEA campaigns based on webshop data and leads, to further improve results.
