On May 17, we held a CloudSuite CMS masterclass during which we updated our customers about the latest developments to our content management system. We also presented a best-practise case to show our customers how to get the most out of the CMS.
The masterclass was kicked off by Okko Huisman (CloudSuite). He discussed the importance of good webshop content, and argued that commerce and content are becoming increasingly indistinguishable. “They used to be worlds apart, but now you see these two worlds evolving towards each other.”
Then Loet Brinkmans explained how Goossens wonen & slapen uses the CMS to inspire (potential) customers. Customers visit the site for advice (especially about what style best suits them), for inspiration or to make a specific purchase. So conscious choices were made to enable the site to serve these distinct types of visitor. Loek also observed that many visitors enter the website via so-called inspiration pages, such as its “at home with” pages or the Goossens blog. From these inspiration pages, visitors are steered through the webshop.
